Any other info regarding using a Pi as Plex Client would be much appreciated. Until I can decide on final solution for my HT Room and how much I need to spend on it, I would like to make this Pi solution work as best as possible. Ive also checked that the audio isnt being put out through the 3.5mm jack, and it isnt. Unfortunately, Im getting no audio at all, and all of my googling and fiddling with settings hasnt fixed this. I believe when watching from the Pi projector is setting to Limited since if I change the Projector to LIMITED there is no change.while if I change the Projector to FULL everything washes out. Im running the latest version of Rasplex on my Pi, connected to my TV by HDMI. Pi3 is hooked to HK AVR which feeds the projector.

Switching pixel encoding to FULL I believe gives:įull, Full, Limited - Video Level WRONG : Crushed Blacks Which according to that tutorial would be:įull, Limited, Limited - Video Level CORRECT : WtW & BtW Clipped, Double scaling I think I am ending up with GPU=LIMITED, PLEX=FULL and DISPLAY = LIMITED. I believe you have to be a Plex Pass member to see it so folks with Rasplex might not be able to. Specifically the video-output-levels=limited. RasPlex is an open source and community maintained port of Plex Home Theater which runs on OpenELEC. I believe its ignoring the settings that are recommended. I also looked thru this Tutorial to try to get a better handle but thus far none of the things it says to do seem to work with Pi. By default, it will use the mode requested from the EDID, so it shouldn't need changing.Ġ - default (RGB limited for CEA, RGB full for DMT)
